About the Author
Leah Thomas is an award winning environmentalist, author, and creative producer based in Los Angeles. She is the founder of Intersectional Environmentalist, a pioneering nonprofit advancing environmental and social justice, and Green Girl Productions, a creative studio producing cultural events and community experiences around the world including London’s first Black Ecofeminist Summit. Leah has advised organizations including Apple on climate solutions and is the author of The Intersectional Environmentalist: How to Dismantle Systems of Oppression to Protect People + Planet, which is taught in university classrooms nationwide and was selected by UCLA as its Common Experience read for all incoming students. Her work has been featured in Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, ELLE, Playboy, goop, CNN, and Good Morning America and more.
